P.O.S postpones tour in favor of kidney transplant
Kevin / October 19, 2012
P.O.S’ career has been looking up, as the Doomtree member was garnering wider recognition outside of his native Minnesota with a release of his new album through Rhymesayers, the upcoming We Don’t Even Live Here that will arrive next week. Unfortunately for him, he’s been held down for quite a long time by something he can’t help, and thats his failing kidneys, which he revealed in this video announcement that they have degraded to the point where he requires dialysis for about a month now. While he planned to tour using a nighttime dialysis machine that would travel with him, the plan fell through and outside of the hometown date, the rest of the tour was indefinitely postponed for now, pending new kidneys. For now, he awaits a kidney transplant and is (or will be) reaching out to his following, asking for assistance in looking for a donor.
In the meantime, his Rhymesayers comrades are tweeting their support:
Much love to @yeahrightpos Nothing will ever stop you my brother. Take the time you need and come back stronger than ever.
