On eBay: 25,000 records and instant DJ cred

November 20, 2012

B-Mello is a stalwart DJ in Seattle, having hosted a ton of mix tapes, radio shows, and live shows in his twenty-year career. Last time we mentioned him on our blog, he was the house DJ for Red Bull EmSee in Seattle. Anyway, times are hard, and unfortunately B has to find a way to reduce his debt. That, and I’m guessing physically handling 25,000 vinyl records is a bit of a chore. That’s why, for the price of \$49,900, you can have 230 boxes worth of B-Mello’s record collection, now on auction on eBay. Included in the collection are some collectable gems, like sealed copies of Jay-Z’s first LP, Reasonable Doubt and De La’s Stakes is High, bunch of releases from the heydays of Rawkus, ABB, and Stones Throw records, more records from hip-hop’s golden era like Stetasonic, Ultramagnetic MCs, and stuff that’s probably older than you are. Also included, stuff from Ini Kamoze, which is great for hipsters in need of getting ironic about something.

Or, if you’re feeling lucky, you can bid on the lot, with the opening bid set at the much lower \$14,900. And if that sounds steep, well, free shipping is offered, which is a considerable freebie.
