Recap: Tech N9ne grinds his way home to Kansas City

Photos and Words: Bob Parsons / July 3, 2014

On June 28, The Midland in Kansas City Missouri welcomed home KC native Tech N9ne. The concert marked the last stop on the Independent Grind tour, which also featured Psych Ward Druggies, Jarren Benton, Freddie Gibbs, and Krizz Kaliko. Each stop of Independent Grind blessed its attendees with meet and greets/autograph signings and lengthy sets, and this hometown finale concert included four hours of non-stop music, intense strobe lighting, choreographed dancing, and many personal thank-yous to fans. At the age of 42, it’s apparent that Tech N9ne isn’t slowing down.
