Red Bull EmSee 2011 is coming to Seattle

July 8, 2011

Congratulations to San Jose’s Dirtbag Dan (above, middle) for outlasting seven other emcees in a tightly contested battle at the inaugural 2011 Red Bull EmSee battle in Los Angeles. For the next spot on the tour, Red Bull will come to the Pacific Northwest, landing at a legendary venue that launched the careers of some of the biggest names in the region’s music history. The Crocodile in Belltown, Seattle will be the spot July 28, and will be the only Northwest stop in the EmSee tour, with eight more of the hungriest freestyle pugilists coming to town to claim their place in the Finals alongside Dirtbag Dan. Along with guest judges and performances by Too Short, Hiero’s Casual, and Crooked I, Bun B will resume his hosting duties while local stalwart deejay B-Mello will man the tables. Tickets are \$8 at and \$10 at the door, which open at 9.

The rest of the schedule for EmSee is coming along as well, with stops scheduled for Philadelphia (8/25), Houston (9/8), and Boston (10/17). Also in the mix are stops in Detroit and Miami, with details coming soon for both cities. The finals, which will be hosted by Eminem, will be held in Atlanta. More information is available at
