Rock The Bells 2013 in D.C. and New Jersey cancelled
September 26, 2013
Guerilla Union has cancelled the east coast stops of the 2013 Rock The Bells tour, including the Washington, D.C. stop at a RFK Stadium parking lot this weekend and the Meadowlands Racetrack stop in New Jersey on the following weekend. According to reports, lagging ticket sales were the cause of the cancelations. Guerilla Union will take a $3 million hit, according to XXL. Chang Weisberg, founder and owner of Guerilla Union adds in the official announcement, “It’s extremely unfortunate that we can’t complete the last half of the 10th Anniversary Rock the Bells tour. We did everything in our power to save the show. Unfortunately, the financial loss would have been devastating.” Tickets holders can get refunds from the outlet from where they bought the tickets.
In 2011, the Boston leg of the tour was cancelled because of poor ticket sales as well. The 2012 tour went ahead without a second east coast stop, playing in California twice and New Jersey.
