sayknowledge, “HEEM!”

sayknowledge is definitely a follower that stream of that Bay Area (specifically, Oakland) funk, P-Funk inspired and expressly weird, that gave rise to crews like Digital Underground and movements like hyphy. In this case, Frisco’s sayknowledge does his best to emphasizes the weird, taking on (once) fellow SF weirdo Brian Wilson’s catchphrase and stretching it out to song/video/sock puppet show, a melodic track that has an imprint of hyphy and everything else that came before. Off of say’s Vibe Called Quest.
